Patience is a virtue. That’s what we’ve always been told right? But how do you develop patience? Like anything else, it’s through practice. So how do we practice? By putting ourselves in situations that require patience? Yes and no.
I really think it’s by nurturing discipline within our lives. By picking up an instrument, a new sport, by doing something that you know you’re not good at but that you’d absolutely love to be ok at.
I think it’s by slow and steady, and being okay with slow and study.
Don’t get me wrong, there are times when my patience runs thin, where the very thought of patience needs patience on my part, but I truly believe those are the biggest moments of growth for me.
What about you? How do you foster patience within yourselves? Within your families and friends? Within your peers?
