Closure

Inevitably, things will change. People will grow apart and leave your life, sometimes we won’t know why and it’ll kill us.  But the thing about it is this. No one has control over how you feel.  I mean sure, someone can go in and actively try to ruin your day, but in the end, it’s about whether you allow it to affect you, or rather HOW you allow it to affect you.

You do deserve closure. You deserve to know the reasons why. But you’re not always going to get it and you have to accept that. You have to look within yourself and really understand that you have no control over anyone else’s actions, that in the the end, you can only control what you do.

I know this doesn’t bring a lot of comfort right now, but it can.  Once you realize you can close the door without that other person bringing you closure, you have given yourself the power to move on. Letting go is hard but staying stuck is harder.
